Let's Go Giants

Image From Pixabay
The second half of baseball season is in full swing, and we cannot wait to see our San Francisco Giants in the playoffs. The Wilson is in a great location for an easy commute to AT&T Field. You are less than 2 miles away from our favorite baseball stadium in San Francisco. The Giants still have a bunch of great games left before they make their run for repeat World Series Champions. Make sure to buy a ticket or two to these great games before the regular season is over.

We love a great happy hour on a Friday after the work week. The Giants combine this tradition with baseball at their Orange Friday Happy Hour on the 14th. Buy a ticket to this special event for a two hour happy hour before the 7:05 game against the Nationals.  Your ticket includes a complimentary Lagunitas beer or a non-alcoholic beverage. You will get to hear the all-girl Queen cover band The Killer Queens. The best part about this special event is that partial proceeds from every ticket benefit local non-profits.

We may be kids at heart because we absolutely love Pixar. The Giants are combining a great baseball game and our favorite animated movies for this one day offer. Pixar Day at AT&T Park will be held at the 1:05 game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Your special event ticket package includes a game ticket, a pixar-themed Giants T-shirt and the ability to come down onto the field and watch a Pixar movie after the game. You can even arrive early to watch a pregame show honoring your favorite Pixar characters. Come celebrate your favorite Disney/Pixar movies while rooting on your favorite baseball team this last Sunday in August.

This is one of the last regular season Giants games, and it is also one of the best. Come celebrate Oktoberfest at this popular Giants tradition. Your ticket page includes a ticket to the game, a pre-game Oktoberfest in Seals plaza and a collector’s-edition 2014 World Championship Stein. You can listen to the cultural entertainment while enjoying the food and beverages that are available for purchase. This event does sell out so make sure to get your tickets now.

We are so excited to watch our Giants finish the season strong this year. Make sure to get to a game before September and enjoy all of the special events AT&T Park has to offer this year.

Fireworks in San Francisco

Saturday we get to celebrate Independence day all across the United States. We love celebrating the Fourth of July in San Francisco. We are lucky enough to have one the best Fourth of July fireworks displays in the country. Watching the fireworks over the bay is something that every resident must do at least once. There are many viewing spots all through San Francisco. Here are a few locations to check out that are close the The Wilson.

Pier 7

If you are not having an all day celebration, Pier 7 might be the perfect place for you to view the San Francisco Bay fireworks. Pier 7 has an amazing view of the fireworks that are set off from Municipal Pier and the barges north of Pier 9.

West Bluffs

Maybe you want to have an all day picnic for your Fourth of July festivities. The West Bluffs might be your ideal location for this Saturday.  There is a big field picnic area on Crissy Field for you to use for your party. At this location on Marine Drive, you can view the Golden Gate Bridge, the Marin Headlands and Angel Island. This gives you a great view of the fireworks you have been waiting for all year.

California HornBlower

Maybe you want a more elegant evening for the Fourth of July. The Hornblower's San Francisco Belle Cruise might be the perfect night away. This cruise costs $154 dollars, but it includes a dinner buffet, a hosted wine and beer bar and a three in a half hour cruise to enjoy the night and see the fireworks. This cruise includes live entertainment leading up the main event at dark.  This gives you a rare up close and personal view of the bay area show. You can learn more and purchase tickets for the cruise here.

Twin Peaks

If you are looking for more of an intimate viewing area, consider driving up to Twin Peaks. You can bring a blanket to cozy up and not only watch San Francisco's fireworks but also Berkeley's and Sausalito's.
